WOLBI Jeju Alumni

How time flies! It’s hard to believe, but this year is the 15th year of WOLBI Jeju. We have just completed gathering pictures of the graduates. We added names to them and plan to put them in a frame on the wall here. We are also trying to reconnect with as many of these grads as possible.  I love hearing the stories of where they are now and what they are doing. God has literally taken them to places all over the world.*

The first year we had 31 students; 23 male and 8 female. In 14 years, we have had 323 students; 170 female and 153 male.  Out of 323, 124 were Korean (38%), 102 held a US passport (32%), 40 were Japanese (12%), 20 were Canadian (6%) and 20 were Chinese (6%, 16 from Taiwan). The remaining 12 (3%) were from other countries (8 from the EU).

At WOLBI Jeju we study the Bible for 10 months on scenic Jeju Island, Korea … learn from excellent Bible teachers, make lifelong friends, lead youth camps, study 10 days in Israel and minister 9 days in SE Asia … all in English and all (tuition, room, food, trips) for under $15000 (with scholarships). Then you can transfer to Christian universities in the USA and Canada.

If you are interested … 1. Check out our website (wolbijeju.org). On the “Apply” page you can:   2. Review our yearly schedule. 3. Look over scholarships and pricing. 4. Fill out an application. If you have any questions you can write our director, Mr. Steve or our Admissions Counselor Javaris ([email protected]). He is a WOLBI Jeju grad and can tell you anything you need to know about WOLBI life. We’d love to hear from you and see you in less than a year.

This is the time of year (October) we offer our largest scholarship to attend WOLBI Jeju. It’s called the ‘Early Bird’ scholarship and is worth $3200 if received before November 1. There are other scholarships as well, worth a total maximum of $4200, available for this coming year starting September 2024. Would you or anyone you know be interested in this?
